Wellsfargo Magazine Cover featuring Larry Knapp, president of Alain Pinel Realtors

This shot of Larry Knapp, the president of Alain Pinel Realtors was taken at his office in Saratoga for the Wells Fargo Magazine. During our conversation, he opened the huge wooden door behind his desk. I thought he was joking because apparently the door was stuck to a wall. When he pulled the door open, a painting of a scenic landscape revealed, and he said, "Behind this door lies golden opportunities."

Mr. Knapp has over 1,000 real estate agents working for him, and countless executives have tried to entice him to the East Coast with job offers. But Mr. Knapp always gives the same answer, "I'm not interested in any job unless it's west of Reno". It made me ponder, then he explained, "What most people don't realize is that even Southern California is east of Reno".

The photo session was a half day shoot. I needed to come up with five editorial photos that portray his personality. The actual shooting time was just a series of a few minuets because he was a very busy man. So I tried my best to work under time restrain. It was inspiring to meet a hugely successful man like him.
