Joseph Schmidt's love of chocolate and newly wed wife Carolyn

I've always loved Joseph Schmidt's chocolate since childhood, but I never dreamed of photographing his wedding. Joseph told me how he started experiencing different recipes in chocolate making when he was only a teenager. His creation so well known to the neighbors that he couldn't keep up with the demand. In 1983, he and a partner opened his shop in the San Francisco's Mission District. Within two months the chocolate creations were busier than they had every imagined. Even the White House ordered the chocolate!
Joseph married a beautiful and extremely sweet lady named Carolyn from Hawaii. He said that he waited all his life for her. They had an intimate Jewish ceremony at the Ritz Carlton's presidential suite, followed by a very special wedding gift ... an incredible reception dinner with Hawaiian performance hosted by four close friends at a private mansion overlooking the bay.
