Crystal Blue Lake Tahoe

My wife and I have made a promise to Kitto, our beloved Golden Retriever, that we would take him to see the snow. I finally didn't have a wedding over the holiday weekend, and we stayed at a lake front resort in South Lake tahoe. Kitto loved it!

The spectacular view from our resort's snowy beach. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather.
Lake Tahoe's water is 99.9% pure. So pure that you could clearly see objects at 75 feet under water.
Lake Tahoe is the highest lake of its size in the United States and the largest alpine lake in North America.
With one dispersion of Lake Tahoe's water, the State of California would be completely covered to a depth of 14.5 inches.

While cruising on highway 89, I quickly pulled off to the road side and quickly snapped the shot of Emerald Bay. What a stunning panoramic view of the lake, the mountains, and Tahoe's only island - Fannette Island.
