Ancient Egypt Journey

Welcome! Everyone. This is my first online photography journal, so I thought I'd begin with my recent honeymoon in Egypt.

The Pyramids of Giza. We first visited the pyramids at night for a spectacular laser show. We were drinking a warm cup of coffee as we watched the constantly changing colors of the pyramids along with narration of Ancient Egypt history. It's amazing to see such giantic structures still standing before our eyes after some 4,000 years.

The Sphinx and the Pyramid cab be seen from a distance. We managed to enter the center of the Pyramid by walk through a narrow path.

Devoted to Isis (Goddess of Love) and Orisis (God of the Dead), the Philae Temple was built on an island in Aswan. I was touched by a mystical romantic story that involved a young princess who fell in love with a poor young man. The princess gave up everything and waited on the island for her love to return.

This is a classic, picture perfect moment of an Egyptian in traditonal custom riding a camel.

The Temple of Deir el Bahari. The mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the most dramatically situated in the world.
